Friday 23rd February, 2010
On this week's show, we have a very special guest all the way from the UK who gives us an interesting and in-depth insight into the poulimeno (Definition: sold-out football supporter)! These insights inspired us to bring back a favourite segment of many of our listeners in 'Poulimeno of the Week!' We have an action-packed 'Media Watch' segment which highlights the laxative-like impact the two new franchises had on A-League this season; in one year....out the other! Well done FFA!! We also visit George Andrews Reserve to interview the newest member of the Thunder's playing roster for all you Dandenong fans out there. ...& of course, we preview the upcoming matches that make up a massive round in the VPL, which sees the top 4 teams doing battle against one another.
We hope you enjoy the show!
Disclaimer: this show was recorded prior to the FFV Tribunal decision was made involving the match between South Melbourne & Heidelberg...yet another great decision by the FFV!?

The Pumpkinseed eaters make an apology
Wednesday 23rd April, 2008
Our fifth podcast featured a call we made to a marketing assistant for Football Federation Victoria (“FFV”), which was recorded without her permission and featured on that podcast.
We apologise to that marketing assistant and any members of FFV’s Board for such actions.
We do not believe the board members of the FFV are incompetent, should not be paid, or are attempting to reduce crowd figures.
We created our website and broadcast podcasts to promote the game in this state. We would love to see the game prosper and wish to assist the FFV to obtain that end.
Yours Sincerely,
Ang and Paul,
The Pumpkin Seed Eaters

Ethnic Cleansing... FFA style
Friday 28th March, 2008
Since the 1950s, foundation-member clubs, supported by different ethnic groups, have survived and retained the integrity of this game in Australia with minimal support from both their governing body and the general public. During the so called ‘bad-old days’ of football, people involved with the game invested a countless amount of hours and money for little or no return, but simply for the love of their club and the game. The fortunes of these clubs were not aided by any organizational funding or by extensive marketing, which may have assisted in their growth and development. The games commercial exposure was limited to reports of overblown incidents of crowd trouble, often referred to by media outlets as ethnic violence, and the perceived consensus was to expel the clubs and there unruly ethnic supporters.
